What is " Nopperabou（のっぺらぼう）" ?
Noun - faceless ghost, is a Japanese legendary creature.
STORY
Dave (Kyle Card) and Brian (Christopher McCombs) are two Americans who have come to a small town in Japan for a year long intensive language study program. Upon arrival, the brooding Tanaka (Kintaro Aoyama) explains that the town is still and quiet. An ideal place to study and learn. It is also dangerous to be out after night and he firmly advises them to get indoors before dark. At their first day of school they meet the straight talking Deni (Camilla Ståhl) and Brian discovers the legend of the weeping faceless ghost Nopperabou in one of his textbooks.
That night, though Tanaka warned him, Dave and Deni head to a bar for a few drinks after school. With no car, Dave is forced to walk the dark country roads alone. As he drunkenly makes his way he comes across a crying woman in the street and the horror begins.
Traditional Japanese country life meets the modern American man. A famous Japanese legend brought into a modern setting. A short film that is both thrilling and touching.

ストーリー
日本の小さい田舎町に、1年ほど日本語を学びにやってきた
アメリカ人のデイヴとブライアン。
町に着くと田中が出迎え、二人に言う。
「この町はとても静かで何かを学ぶのにとてもよいところ。
ただし、この町では日が沈む前に帰った方がいい。」
学校の初日、ふたりは実直な人柄のデニに出会う。
その日、ブライアンは教科書で「のっぺらぼう」の物語を見つける。
デイヴとデニはその夜、田中の注意を気に留めず、夜中まで居酒屋に...。
デイヴは帰る足もなく歩いて帰る途中、道脇にうずくまる女性に気付く。
....ここからこの怪談がはじまる。
